We're excited to add InterX® 5002 interactive neurostimulation to our in-office services — a non-invasive, drug-free option for pain relief that pairs naturally with bodywork.

What Is the InterX 5002?

The InterX 5002 is an FDA-cleared, handheld neurostimulation device used by clinicians to treat acute, post-surgical, and chronic pain. Unlike a standard TENS unit, the InterX doesn't just send a fixed electrical pattern into the tissue — it reads the skin's impedance in real time and continuously adjusts its output based on how the tissue responds. In practice, this means the device is "listening" to the body throughout the session, which helps it stay effective rather than the body simply tuning it out the way it can with more static stimulation.

A session typically starts with the device scanning the treatment area to find the points where the tissue is responding most strongly — often where pain, inflammation, or irritation is concentrated — and then delivering targeted stimulation there. No gels, needles, or downtime required.

What to Expect

InterX treatment is non-invasive and generally well-tolerated. Most people feel a mild, comfortable tingling sensation rather than anything painful. Sessions can be done on their own or incorporated into a regular bodywork appointment, depending on what you're working on.
